According to the CryptoSlate press release, the Truffle startup integrates its development tools with Microsoft Azure, which will allow developers to create and manage corporate applications on the blockchain.
Tim Coulter, the founder and CEO of Truffle, said:
“Truffle recognizes the importance of this opportunity to bring our blockchain-native experience to enterprise developers across the world through our partnership with Microsoft.”
One of the first integrated services will be the Microsoft Visual Studio code extension from Microsoft. This service will allow developers to create and compile smart contracts and test them locally in the Ganache environment.
The partnership will also create a new set of tools that will allow teams to monitor the performance of blockchain applications in real time.
According to Forbes, Truffle tools are already available in Microsoft Azure and are used by thousands of developers on the platform. Mark Mercuri, principal program manager at Azure, said that Microsoft “really believes” in the power of the blockchain and that the partnership with Truffle is a natural extension of the company’s interaction with technology.
