The 5G iPhone is not something new for any of us, considering the fact that Apple had talked about it long time ago. Yet, we are all eager to know some details and the most trusted source of Apple rumours, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, is ready to disclose it.
What we know about the 5G iPhone is that Apple planned to release the phone with Intel radio chip inside, but it won’t happen, since the tech giant forced Intel to close down 5G modem shop and chose Qualcomm instead.
From now we need to anticipate the 5G iPhone based on Qualcomm chip, if the analyst Kuo is right, the release of the phone will be right on schedule.
According to Kuo’s words, new iPhones (a small 5.4-inch and 6.7-inch models) will have 5g support in 2020. The XS seems to get smaller, while the Max is getting bigger in terms of screen size.
Ming-Chi Kuo also added that all three upcoming 2020 iPhones will have OLED screens, including a low-cost 6.1-inch iPhone XR successor. The screens will be featured with vibrant colours and inky blacks. Apple preferred them to cheaper LCD panels which you can see on current models.
