Facebook Bans Pre-Installs of Its Applications on New Huawei Smartphones

Another shock for Huawei was the statement by the giant of social networks about banning the pre-installation of Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram applications on “aggressor” smartphones. Reuters wrote about this.

Owners of previously released Huawei models will still be able to download the application from Google Play. However, for future versions of the phone this possibility is not provided, at least until such time as the US government lifts sanctions from Chinese manufacturers.

The conclusion of commercial deals by suppliers of smartphones to pre-install applications is normal. Not only Facebook provided Huawei with this option, among other well-known large companies are Twitter and Booking.com. At the moment, the latter has not made official statements against the supplier of smartphones.

The Facebook ban reduces sales prospects for Huawei Technologies Co Ltd, whose business, thanks to strong growth in Europe and Asia in the field of smartphones, became the largest source of income last year.
