Apple’s Chief Designer Jony Ive Is Leaving To Create New Firm

Jony Ive, a legendary figure in Apple’s history, a brilliant designer of major Apple’s products, is leaving the company to create his own design firm LoveFrom. A chief design officer will go on cooperating with the tech giant on some projects and Apple will remain the primary client for the brand new firm.

Jonathan Ive has led the design team since 1996. He also collaborated with Steve Jobs on creating Apple’s products starting from iMac computer in 1998. Moreover, Ive has worked on products, including a wide range of Macs, the iPod, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and more. He has even designed the company’s “spaceship” Apple Park campus and Apple’s retail store all over the USA.

The CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, stated in the recent press release:

“Apple will continue to benefit from Jony’s talents by working directly with him on exclusive projects, and through the ongoing work of the brilliant and passionate design team, he has built. After so many years working closely together, I’m happy that our relationship continues to evolve and I look forward to working with Jony long into the future.”
