Representatives of the technology giant from South Korea, Kakao, said they intend to launch their own cryptocurrency wallet called Klip by the end of this year. To develop a new wallet, the company created a special subsidiary blockchain unit Ground X.

At the moment, it is known that the new wallet will support the Klay cryptocurrency, and, therefore, other tokens based on the Klaytn blockchain. In addition, it is worth noting that HintChain representatives have officially confirmed that they are partners of this project.

Recall that the formation of the Ground X division became known in the early spring of this year, but it was not clear which product they were going to create, but now everything fell into place.

In early October, Klaytn held a presentation and began accepting applications for participation in the Aspen test network with a potential performance of 1,500 Tps. Already this year, Kakao raised $90 million to create Klaytn from investment firms IDG Capital, Translink Capital and Crescendo Equity Partners.

    1. Facebook, Telegram, now Kakao… What’s next? Google?

I’m more interested in existing projects such as Blackmoon.
