Sony published a financial report for the second quarter of 2019, according to which the company managed to realize more than 3.2 million PS4 for three months (from April to June), that is, the total number of sold devices reached an unimaginable figure of 100 million. Of course, the PS4 is already old, and gamers around the world are looking forward to the release of a new generation of the popular console, but even in these conditions, Sony manages to show good sales, especially against competitors.
The next-generation PlayStation is likely to be introduced in the fall of 2020. Sony promises that the PS5 will support 8K graphics, 3D audio, SSD storage and backward compatibility with existing PlayStation 4 games. PS5 will also use a third-generation AMD Ryzen eight-core processor and will be equipped with a ray-tracing graphics processor. According to the company, it will be the most powerful console on the market.
