NASA Astronauts Passed Tests in the New SpaceX Spacesuits, Preparing for the Crew Dragon Mission

A new development from the private company SpaceX – the manned spacecraft Crew Dragon, most likely, will not fly to the ISS until 2020. This is due to an accident that occurred during testing earlier this year. Currently, active preparations are underway for the long-awaited first manned flight. And NASA shared several photos of astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley in the new spacesuit from SpaceX.

SpaceX has long shown its new spacesuits, but there have still not been any detailed reviews from the astronauts themselves. In general, NASA employees were satisfied with the new development of Elon Musk`s brainchild.

The future team also went through several emergency scenarios inside the ship’s simulator. Crew Dragon is one of two new spaceships (along with Starliner Boeing) that NASA has chosen for its commercial crew delivery program. The goal is to bring people back into space on American earth for the first time since the end of the Shuttle era. Now the delivery of American astronauts to the ISS is carried out only by Russia.
