Who Will Play the Main Role in the Movie about John McAfee Instead of Johnny Depp?

John McAfee keeps surprising us with his new projects. Currently, one of the most popular ones, beside the presidential campaign, is his autobiographical movie called “King of the Jungle”.

Some facts about the movie have been floating around the Internet for quite a while. For example, it was known that the movie would be directed by the creators of American Crime Story, it would be focused on the time in McAfee’s life when he went wild and moved to Belize (that’s why “King of the Jungle).

Most importantly, everyone knew that McAfee would be played by a Hollywood star Johnny Depp.

However, there was not much more information on the project, the release dates were unknown, and some people even doubted that the film would come out at all.

It turned out that the movie is very real and is still in production, but with some changes. Johnny Depp is no longer the actor who will portray McAfee. The crypto enthusiast will be played by the star of Beetlejuice, Michael Keaton.

As for why such decision was taken, McAfee himself did not give any clear explanation, but judging by his tweet, he doesn’t really fancy Depp.

We don’t know whether these two have history, or Depp was just not brilliant enough to play such a personality, but hopefully, Michael Keaton will cope this difficult task.

The Owner of the Electric Car Tesla Decided to Test the Autopilot on His Wife

The reliability of the autopilot from the luxury electric Tesla cars manufacturer often becomes a subject for discussion in the media recently.

We want tо remind you:

A New Model 3 Tesla Was Involved in a Deadly Crash in Florida

One of Tesla car owners posted a video on Youtube (now it’s already removed) of his own testing of the autonomous emergency braking system. Though there is something not quite ordinary in this test – the car owner used his wife as an obstacle. She had to go out on the road directly in front of the car. At this time, her husband was driving a Tesla at a speed of about 40 kilometers per hour and kept his foot on the brake.

It is worth noting that the experimenter received a lot of angry comments. Many users criticized the actions of the young man, some even advised him to switch places with his wife.

In his defense, the owner of Tesla said that, firstly, his wife volunteered to be a pedestrian and did not want to drive, and secondly, this test took place at ridiculous speed and on a closed part of the road. For this reason, he had complete control over the situation and there was no danger to the health or life of his wife.

Well, talking about the results of this test, the autopilot system did not recognize the woman when she was walking or running along the road. She only became visible for Tesla software, when she stood on its way or near the car.

The First Movie About Cryptocurrency Has the First Trailer Out

As we reported earlier, cryptocurrency was going to make its appearance in art, mainly in cinematography. We presented to you the plans on the movie featuring crypto with Kurt Russell playing one of the main roles. However, back then it was still unclear whether this film will actually see the world or not.

Now it’s absolutely obvious – it will. The first trailer of “Crypto” has dropped recently and created massive hype around it.

The description of the trailer is quite promising. It says:

In this cyber-thriller starring Kurt Russell and Beau Knapp, a Wall Street banker connects a small-town art gallery to a global conspiracy, putting his own family in grave danger.”

Let’s find out more about the upcoming movie.

Crypto was directed John Stalberg Jr. and a star-studded cast of Hollywood stars, such as Kurt Russell, Luke Hemsworth, Alexis Bledel, Beau Knapp, Jeremie Harris, Vincent Kartheiser and others.

The plot of Crypto, the movie, focuses on the character of Beau Knapp, who is a cyber security expert, the best one when it comes to fight money laundering. He is sent to a small American town Elba in order to track down and stop the group of hackers who are obviously laundering Bitcoins.

The upcoming movie will show a crypto exchange, which looks oddly similar to Coinbase, where Bitcoin Cash will be listed at a price of almost 1 thousand dollars. Moreover, no American thriller could ever be made without the appearance of Russian mafia.

Overall, Crypto did a good job with the first trailer and created the necessary effect – everybody is intrigued and interested.

The film will be out in selected cinemas on April 12. Also it will be available on demand. We will surely report a detailed review on this crypto-related art piece after it is released.

John McAfee Believes He Is the Most Accurate Bitcoin Price Predictor

It’s been a while since the crypto enthusiast and the creator of the popular antivirus John McAfee participated in the life of the crypto community. And we can totally understand that given the fact that he is currently living on a yacht and hiding from Internal Revenue Service for not paying taxes.

Almost a few months has passed since McAfee posted something crypto-related. Let’s find out what could possibly trigger him to get into the groove again.

It turns out that Jesse Lund, the Vice President of IBM’s Blockchain and Digital Currencies department basically “stole” McAfee’s prediction regarding the exchange rate of Bitcoin in the future.

In an interview with Fred Schebesta, Lund claimed that Bitcoin would have higher liquidity if its price went up. Later on, he made a surprising statement:

I have a long-term outlook. It goes back to that discussion about the utility of the network with a higher price. I see Bitcoin at a million dollars someday.”

We all know that John McAfee is a king of eccentric BTC price predictions. He claimed that Bitcoin would cost 1 million dollars by 2020 long time ago. Certainly, the crypto enthusiast could just ignore the situation and tweeted about it.

Not only did he complain about the fact, that he was the first to set such a price target for Bitcoin, McAfee also mentioned the exact date when BTC would hit 1 million dollars: 31st of December, 2020.

However, later on, he posted another tweet, clarifying that the media twisted his words, and 31st of December was not the specific date, it just meant the end of the year.

Bitcoin is probably the most unpredictable thing in the world. Thus, despite the competence of the people setting the price target for it, we will only have to wait and see whether it will ever hit 1 million dollars.

Elon Musk: Bitcoin Is Good, But Not For Tesla

Elon Musk has recently made a statement showing his attitude towards cryptocurrency and financial world as a whole. He supports Bitcoin, yet, it will not bring good for Tesla.

Elon Musk is a well-known technology entrepreneur and engineer with a fortune of $22.8 billion, he projects, like SpaceX, Tesla, PayPal, cover different areas of live, meanwhile they are competing to other companies at a high level. Musk is also a socially active person, he likes to post tweets sharing his thoughts about what is happening in the world. Though, sometimes it may bring consequences, like it was in July last year, when the SEC sent a request to Tesla regarding tweets of Elon Musk.

Furthermore, he freely expresses his attitude towards cryptocurrency. Once he even claimed how many Bitcoins he actually possessed. The Twitter community blowed up every time when Musk speaks about cryptocurrency. For instance, in October 2018, Elon posted a tweet about his love for anime and offered a subscriber to buy Bitcoins.

Twitter even blocked his account for a certain period of time to make sure he was the author. So, this time the world has gone mad, when Musk expressed his feelings about financial system and Bitcoin, in particular,  in the podcast “On the Road to Full Autonomy With Elon Musk.”

“Paper money is going away. Crypto is a far better way to transfer value than pieces of paper, that’s for sure,” he said. “Bitcoin’s structure is brilliant but I don’t think it would be a good use of Tesla’s resources to get involved in crypto.”

Furthermore, Musk added that Bitcoin has its pros and cons, yet, what he is really concerned about is crypto mining, to create one Bitcoin, people use high-powered computers to solve a complex math problem.

“We’re really just trying to accelerate the advance of sustainable energy, and I think one of the down sides of crypto is that computationally it’s quite energy intensive. There had to be some kind of constraints on the creation of crypto. But it’s very energy intensive to create slightly incremental Bitcoin, at this point.”

John McAfee Runs into an Exile after Being Charged with Tax Fraud

A crypto enthusiast John McAfee, who is known for his eccentric behavior, has gotten himself into a new scandal, this time with Internal Revenue Service.

According to the post published by Daily Express, IRS has charged the crypto evangelist for not filing return on his taxes, along with his wife Janice and four members of his 2020 presidential campaign. McAfee commented on the matter by saying:

Today, the IRS has convened a grand jury in the state of Tennessee to charge myself, my wife Mrs McAfee, and four of my campaign workers with unspecified crimes of a felonious nature.”

Internal Revenue Service has not provided any official statements about this whole situation, however, it is quite obvious that the charges have to do with millions of dollars in taxes that McAfee did not pay.

Meanwhile, McAfee refused to pay anything to IRS and left into an “exile” on his luxurious yacht which is now sailing near the coast of Venezuela. He also promised to run his campaign from the boat if needed.

McAfee called this an attempt of the government to “silence, imprison and shut his voice down” and claimed that he would not give in.

Today, crypto community, we are at war and I am on the front lines,” he said.

The CEO of Circle Believes That a Clearer Policy of the SEC Will Cure the Crypto Industry

The CEO of the project Circle, backed up by the major bank Goldman Sachs, Jeremy Allaire started a thread on Reddit together with his co-workers, where they debated the accomplishments of the company in the recent time, talked about prospects for the future and discussed the overall situation on the crypto market.

According to the representatives of Circle, one of the main issues with crypto in the US is the lack of regulatory framework and, most importantly, the inability of the Securities and Exchange Commission to clearly define cryptocurrencies as belonging to a particular type of assets.

We remind you:

The SEC: Unlike ICO Tokens, Bitcoin and Ethereum Can Not Be Securities

There absolutely needs to be more regulatory clarity to really make this fly — in particular around who can issue these, how they can be stored and transmitted, and what markets can allow their trading. There’s a lot of attention on this and we absolutely expect to see these issues resolved and for far more real world experiments to hit the markets this year,” said Jeremy Allaire.

Also, the CEO of Circle claimed that the US should follow the example of France and have a separate kind of taxation for crypto-to-crypto transactions.
