Warren Buffett Believes That Bitcoin Is “Probably Rat Poison Squared” 208

A billionaire investor, founder and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway holding company Warren Buffett confirmed personal dislike of digital currencies, which he continues to express criticizing the most demanded cryptocurrency – Bitcoin.

Warren expressed his opinion on the cryptocurrency at the annual meeting of shareholders of Berkshire Hathaway, and particularly noted that Bitcoin is “probably rat poison squared.”

Buffett’s statement was supported by the Deputy Head of Berkshire Hathaway, and also his longtime friend Charlie Munger:

We remind you that Warren Buffett has repeatedly called Bitcoin “a real bubble,” expressions of this nature started coming with him in October of last year. The criticism of cryptocurrencies has recently become more frequent. He also believes that “the cryptocurrencies will come to a bad end,” as stated at the end of January. In his opinion, all digital currencies can not be an object of investment, since they are a speculative instrument.
