Vitalik Buterin and Elon Musk's representative joined the Dogecoin Foundation
The Dogecoin Foundation backs again! The fund of the main “fun coin” in the digital currency market announced the renewal of the team, led by Elon Musk's Rep Jared Birchall and the Ethereum's creator Vitalik Buterin.
The Dogecoin Foundation was formed in 2014, however, it soon ceased to exist. After six years of silence, the foundation decided to reassert itself. In addition to the loud announcement of the participation of iconic figures in the financial industry, the developers of DOGE announced that in the next few weeks they'll present new ideas that may significantly accelerate the adoption of Dogecoin around the world and increase the usefulness and versatility of the “dog” token. According to the developers, the innovations will be a good supplement to the Core Wallet. They can provide faster integration and make API much more apparent for financial, social, and philanthropic projects, which want to use DOGE.
Today, the main representatives of the Dogecoin Foundation are the main cryptocurrency developers Michi Lumin and Ross Nicoll, as well as such founding members of the DOGE association as Jens Wiechers, Timothy Stebbing, and Gary Lachance. The advisory council of the non-profit organization also includes the founders of the joke token Jackson Palmer and Billy Markus.
Jared Birchall is known not only as the main representative of the founder of Tesla but also as the former vice president of one of the largest US financial conglomerates Morgan Stanley. At the Dogecoin Foundation, he will operate as a legal and financial advisor. Vitalik Buterin, in turn, was entrusted with an even more important mission as a blockchain and cryptocurrency advisor.
To many participants of the crypto community, Buterin's candidacy seemed a very unpredictable choice in the context of a comic token. However, Vitalik himself has repeatedly spoken warmly about Dogecoin and even hinted at the potential cooperation of the DOGE team with Ethereum.
