The United States Securities and Exchange Commission Again Postponed Decision on Bitcoin-ETF
As it became known, the staff of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of the USA again postponed decision making in two applications at once for the launch of Bitcoin-ETF from VanEck and Bitwise Asset Management. Recall that the application of VanEck began to be considered on February 20, 2019. The company wanted to get permission to Bitcoin-ETF listing on the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE). According to the rules, it should have been considered within 45 days, but the SEC doubled this period to 90 days, and now the decision on this issue must be ready before May 21, 2019. By the same principle, SEC employees decided to proceed with the application from Bitwise, which wants to launch Bitcoin-ETF on the NYSE Arca. A new deadline for decision making - May 16, 2019. Recall, the company VanEck filed an application on January 30, 2019, a short time after the previous one was withdrawn. The company Bitwise stated that they also want to launch Bitcoin-ETF on the NYSE Arca on January 10, 2019. As we can see, the Securities and Exchange Commission has not yet made a single positive decision on Bitcoin-ETF. We want to remind you: Subscribe to The Coin Shark news in Facebook:
