The UN Denied Warnings About Participating in a Cryptocurrency Conference in the DPRK
Representatives of the United Nations (UN) said that their specialists had not approved the report on the DPRK yet, therefore they could not give recommendations about an undesirable attendance of a cryptocurrency conference in the capital of North Korea, Pyongyang, TASS informs citing an anonymous source at the UN. Based on the information received, the report on the DPRK will be ready only by March 2020. And the conference, which was allegedly mentioned in a confidential report, will be held from February 22 to February 29, 2020. Recall, Reuters report informed, UN experts said that a trip to the next cryptocurrency conference in Pyongyang could be regarded as a violation of the sanctions regime. Note, this is not the first cryptocurrency conference held in North Korea.
