The Police Arrested Chinese Miner For Stealing Electricity From The Biggest Oil Wells

Chinese media reports that one Chinese man was arrested by the police for stealing electricity to mine Bitcoin in one of the Chinese provinces.

The place of alleged crime place is located near one of the biggest oil wells in China. The suspect was identified under the name of Mr. Li and he was accused of laying cables through deep fishponds to hide his activities and dodge the electricity bill.

The director of the oil production at Daqing Oil Field noticed an abnormal electricity usage. This caused a discovery of 20 active Bitcoin mining rigs which used $7000 of electricity.

China has recently sought to close down mining industry inside the country, it even proposed a special bill against spreading mining rigs and industry as a whole.
