The Future of Gaming: Google Presented a Streaming Service Stadia

At an annual Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2019 which is held in sunny San Francisco these days Google unveiled its own development – Stadia cloud gaming service.

With its help, the user will be able to start games by clicking one button “play now” without downloading any additional files. A game will start literally in a split second. Notably, Stadia will support any device (a notebook, a tablet, a smartphone, a PC and even a TV set). All game results will be saved in cloud storage. This means that users can start a level, for example, on a smartphone and continue on a PC.

To achieve maximum comfort and speed of service the company will use the global servers’ infrastructure which is located all over the world. In the beginning, games will be available in 4K resolution at FPS 60, but in future, Google plans to move to 8K resolution at FPS 120.
