USDC bridge launched between Cardano and Ethereum blockchains

The bridge on the Milkomeda sidechain, released by the Iagon project, will allow the transfer of USDC tokens from the Cardano blockchain to Ethereum and vice versa.

When transferring funds, the user connects an Ethereum-based stablecoin to the Milkomeda bridge and then transfers it to the Cardano blockchain, where USDC becomes the network’s own asset. To make an exchange, you need to have four MilkAda tokens in your wallet, which are required for the bridge to work.

The bridge is currently under testing. However, it can already be used to convert Iagon (IAG) tokens. They can be transferred from the Ethereum blockchain (ERC-20 standard) to the Cardano network and vice versa.

The presence of this bridge is of global importance. This will ensure that the two blockchains are compatible, and Dapps from one network can be deployed on the other blockchain.
