Opera adds support for 8 new blockchains

Popular browser Opera now supports 8 additional blockchains. The focus on cryptocurrencies makes this browser ideal for use in the Web3 era.

According to experts, among the supported blockchains are several Ethereum sidechains, as well as other popular networks for interacting with decentralized applications.

Polygon, according to the blog post, was chosen due to its low gas fees, which is best combined with the security and decentralization of the Ethereum network.

Opera users will have access to 7,000 Dapps running on the ETH network. It will be possible to use decentralized applications by pressing a couple of buttons.

Other blockchains were chosen because of their green mining and popularity with users. Some of the supported networks are Solana, StarkEx, Nervos, Ronin, IXO, and Bitcoin. They will give browser users access to DEXs like Radium, NFT marketplaces and other sites.

Through the introduction of new blockchains, Opera will expand the number of users. It currently has over 200 mobile users. This number will grow rapidly due to the popularity of Web3 projects.

Digital assets responded positively to the news. The price of Solana and Polygon cryptocurrencies increased by 4% and 8%, respectively, per day.
