Square Is Going to Get BitLicense for the Cash App Application

The provider of payment systems Square said that it is going to start working in New York, where strict requirements apply to cryptocurrency companies. To do this, the company is going to get BitLicense for its Cash App application.

This information was confirmed after one of the users asked about New York on Twitter. The Square spokesman said that they were working on it.

If the application for a license is approved, the users from the State of New York will be able to use the Cash App without hindrance. The application was launched in January of this year for all users of America, except for a few states, because of their internal policy regarding cryptocurrency.

Some states, such as Wyoming, have decided to release utility-tokens from the laws on securities, as it has been recently reported by the state senate.
