Russian Prime Minister is Interested in Regulating Digital Currencies
Former president and current prime minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev said that the use of digital tokens in the state should go into the legislative field. The politician said this at a meeting with the General Director of “Rosgeology” Sergey Gorkov. During the meeting, Mr. Gorkov expressed interest in the tokenization of assets, in his opinion, this could increase investments in geological exploration. “It would be nice to regulate the use of these so-called tokens nationwide. Many countries follow this path. We just need to weigh the pros and cons”, Medvedev said. Earlier we wrote that last summer Medvedev instructed the State Duma deputies to adopt a bill on digital assets by November 1, 2019, but as of this writing, it is still being developed.
