Uzbekistan To Tighten Rules On Digital Currencies Use
The government of Uzbekistan will tighten the rules for working with cryptocurrencies for its citizens. First of all, the draft law provides that everyone who has anything to do with digital currencies agrees to comply with AML requirements.
The country's parliament adopted a bill, containing a list of companies that carry out operations with cash or other classes of property.
Country authorities believe, this law should counteract the money laundering received as a result of illegal activities, as well as the financing of terrorism.
Recall, just recently, the Uzbekistan authorities banned their citizens from using cryptocurrencies as a means of payment or accepting payment.
In Latin America, on the contrary, cryptocurrencies are gaining popularity, and most Europeans are optimistic about cryptocurrencies. We also recently wrote that Bitcoin may be mined at Ukrainian nuclear power plants.
