Russia To Allocate 174 Billion Rubles For The The Digital Economy Development

Russian Federation authorities recalculated the state budget, thus increasing the expenditures for the development of digital technologies in the framework of the national program “Digital Economy”, that is going to receive 174 billion rubles this year. This federal project should get funding of 632 billion rubles by 2024.

Rostec and the Skolkovo Fund are the main investors supporting this project. The introduction of domestic solutions based on digital technologies in priority sectors of the economy and social sphere is going to be the most expensive in the framework of this program. 241 billion rubles should be allocated to these fields by 2024.

Recall, earlier, the new Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced a cut in funding the development of this industry. As of the end of the first quarter of 2020, they have implemented only six points out of 231 included in the national program.
