Ripple: the judge has appointed the first meeting for 22.02.2021

District Court of New York City in February of this year will begin considering the regulator's claim against the bosses of Ripple by telephone

Representatives of the SEC and Ripple are required to submit documents, which will indicate a number of points:

  • Description of the claim and the issue under consideration.
  • Grounds for filing a statement of claim.
  • Available petitions on the issue.
  • Possible ways of pre-trial settlement.

Recall that in December, the SEC filed a lawsuit against the CEO of Ripple and the co-founder of the project. Brad Garlinghouse, as well as Chris Larsen, according to the regulator, are guilty of the unauthorized sale of securities worth over $ 1.3 billion. This negatively affected the project, bringing down the price of the token.
