Israel regulator requires a report from cryptocurrency owners
Dozens of Israeli investors received a notification from the country's tax authority (ITA) asking them to disclose information about ownership of cryptocurrency assets
As a reminder, ITA previously received reports from cryptocurrency exchanges in Israel and beyond in order to collect information about Israelis' accounts. Including lists sent by the US Internal Revenue Service.
Data obtained in accordance with EU General Reporting Standards and Tax Compliance Act. Cryptocurrency holders are subject to a 25 percent income tax.
