Polish Council of Ministers passed a bill “On the regulation of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies” in order to fight money laundering and fiscal evasion.
The law is to take effect in the following three month. Polish government is going to limit bitcoin circulation in the country.
Some experts on cryptocurrency have already said that such rules can be a way to prepare a ground for introducing national cryptocurrency. Just recently Poland started developing national cryptocurrency. The token will be named “digital zloty”. The government decided not only to create a polish token but also to define rules for the members of the cryptocurrency market.
Now cryptocurrency exchanges and other agents, conducting cryptocurrency trading, will have to make legal reviews of the clients and punctually report about suspicious transactions.
Unlike other cryptocurrencies “digital zloty” will not be anonymous and every transaction will be transparent for the government.
