Dan Morehead: BTC will hit $400,000 in 2025
The head of Pantera Capital says that the first cryptocurrency, which is trading at $42,195 at the time of writing (according to CoinMarketCap), will rise in price to $400,000 by the end of 2025.
According to crypto enthusiast and CEO Dan Morehead, the rise in the price of bitcoin will be constant over the next 10 years. This, in particular, will be facilitated by more active adoption of cryptocurrencies.
Morehead noted that over the next 5-10 years, every smartphone owner will use cryptocurrency to pay for goods, services or trade in digital assets. The global promotion of BTC will make it even more attractive to institutional investors.
In addition to bitcoin, many altcoins will also benefit. Especially those who have their own blockchain - Solana, Ethereum. They can rise in price by 90-100 times.
Despite this, at present, the position of bitcoin has been significantly affected by the Ukrainian-Russian conflict. Many bitcoin miners are forced to shut down their rigs due to sanctions or rising energy costs.
This has led to a reduction in BTC mining difficulty. This figure has decreased by 1 times since July 2021. The hash rate decreased by 1.5% in early March, and also decreased by 0.35% on the afternoon of March 17, 2022.
