Brian Armstrong becomes China's richest crypto billionaire

Coinbase founder Brian Armstrong leads the new list of China's crypto billionaires.

This was reported by representatives of the Hurun Research Institute. They argue that Armstrong's fortune has multiplied tenfold over the past year, reaching $11.5 billion.

Over the past 5 years, the number of billionaires around the world has grown by 50%. This is more than 3,000 people. Among them, there are 17 blockchain billionaires who have increased their wealth mainly due to cryptocurrencies. Armstrong beat everyone else, increasing his capital tenfold - from $1 billion last year.

Following Armstrong, Sam Bankman-Fried, the CEO of Alameda Research with his $10 billion, and the notorious Changpeng Zhao, the founder of the largest crypto exchange Binance with $8 billion, were entrenched in the list of crypto billionaires.

It's funny that Satoshi Nakamoto himself could lead this list with an approximate fortune of $50 billion, which is almost five times more than Armstrong at the rate of the main cryptocurrency on the market of $50,000.

At the same time, Vitalik Buterin was not included in the list of cryptocurrency billionaires due to the fact that experts could not estimate the exact volume of cryptocurrencies at his disposal.
