One of the co-founders of Oculus VR, Nate Mitchell, leaves the company after seven years of work. Mitchell wrote that he needed time to travel, be with his family and recharge. Recently, Mitchell worked as the head of the VR product on Facebook. It appears that after the takeover in 2014, Oculus VR got more and more deeply integrated into its parent company.
However, his longest job at Oculus is the VR product manager. Mitchell played an important role in creating the Road Map and the company’s early years towards the commercial launch of the first Rift headset in 2016. Among other things, Nate Mitchell has been a public face of Oculus since its inception. Of course, without this person, we would not know the company Oculus VR the way it is.
Nevertheless, after many years of hard work, Mitchell decided to leave his brainchild to start a new project.
