The famous boxer will release a series of non-fungible tokens that will please his fans
Mayweather says that after the end of his career he wants to perpetuate his achievements in the sport. He hopes to do so thanks to NFT. This technology allows to perpetuate the boxer's legacy, his sporting successes and the memory of him as the greatest star of boxing.
It is not yet known where NFT will be sold. However, it is known that the NFT series, which will be available on May 26, will include souvenir items, art installations and animations with the image of a boxer.
Recall that Mayweather has previously had to do with the cryptosphere. In 2017, he was involved in advertising ICO startup Stox. Two years later, the platform and its founder were accused of embezzlement. Users lost more than $4.6 million.
The boxer also participated in the promotion of ICO Centra Tech. This scam project has deceived many users. Its founder was sentenced to 8 years. And the boxer, who was the face of the startup, was fined $614,000.
