One of the leading Formula 1 teams, McLaren Racing, has announced a partnership with Tezos to create its own NFT platform.
Representatives of McLaren Racing announced that they are creating a platform of non-fungible tokens based on the Tezos blockchain, and the symbols and name of the cryptocurrency company will now appear on the suits of the McLaren F-1 and IndyCar pilots.
On its site, the racing organization intends to offer fans unique NFTs in the form of "a rich legacy of former and current pilots." What kind of virtual or real products the company will choose is still unknown. However, she stated that the partnership will expand into e-commerce as well as esports.
One of the directors of the company, Lindsay Eckhouse, said that their fans have always been the focus of the company, so they want to share “part of the team” with them.
By the way, the company is not new to the crypto industry. She announced this spring that she will create an official fan token in collaboration with Turkish cryptocurrency firm Bitci.
