A fake account of Ethereum’s founder Vitalik Buterin with an impressive amount of subscribers (almost 82k) published information on a huge Ethereum giveaway. The scammer was posting comments with this under posts of famous people, one of them being John McAfee.
It has been an exciting past year!

A post with more details appeared on Medium. According to it, you can get free coins in such a way
“To identify your address, please send 0.5-20 ETH to the payment address (click) and we will immediately send you 5-200 ETH back to the address you sent it from.”
Even though, it is quite clear that this whole thing is a scam, we still warn all the cryptocurrency holders and ask them to be careful. Vitalik’s real Twitter account has a verification check mark. Also, ironically enough, the name of the real account is “Vitalik Non-giver of Ether”.
