India Develops a National Blockchain Strategy
The Indian authorities plan to introduce blockchain technology in many areas of life, as it became known from the fact that officials, together with experts, are developing a national blockchain strategy. According to information technology minister Sanjay Dutra, distributed ledger technology is one of India's most important and primary research areas, which will be used in management, banking, finance, cybersecurity, etc in the future. Dutra said the ministry has already developed a blockchain structure. It will form the basis of the solution for the authentication of educational documents. Besides, a distributed registry will be used to optimize car life cycle management. Important to note is that along with this, the country's authorities are considering a bill that will ban all cryptocurrencies in the state. The Central Bank of India banned financial institutions from providing services to individuals and companies that work with digital currencies in the spring.
