Google Trends: The Number of Search Queries with the Word “Bitcoin” has Tripled

According to the Google Trends, after the recent sudden pump on the cryptocurrency market, the number of search queries with the word “Bitcoin” has tripled. People in Australia, South Africa, Switzerland, Nigeria, and Holland were most interested in the first cryptocurrency. If we analyze the frequency of request in the USA, we can see that most of them came from Washington, New-York, California, and Colorado.

Recall that just a few days ago, on April 2nd the cryptocurrency market experienced a rapid price increase: in 24 hours Bitcoin grew by 15%, Bitcoin Cash by 45% and etc. As of this writing, the rate of the first cryptocurrency is above $5000 US dollars mark. What exactly was the cause of this pump is not known.

It should be noted that the last time such growth of in the number of requests in Google occurred in November 2018. It was at the time of the notorious hard fork of Bitcoin Cash coin, after that, the prices of all digital coins decreased by 50-80% in just a couple of weeks. At that time, the Bitcoin rate fell below $3,200 mark.
