Google Introduced a Direct Competitor to the Macbook Air
The new portable computer has a metal case, a large stylish trackpad, and great autonomy, due to the installed Chrome OS operating system. This software is extremely energy efficient, thereby providing a long time work on a single charge. The new product is equipped with a 13.3-inch IPS-display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels (Full HD) or 3840x2160 pixels (4K UHD), that is, the buyer chooses what resolution he needs. The dimensions of the Google Pixelbook Go laptop are 311 × 206,3 × 13,4 mm, and it weighs less than 1 kg, so it is convenient to take it to work, study, on a business trip and to other places. There are also variants with 6/8 GB of RAM and 64/128/256 GB of flash memory. The keyboard has a separate button for an instant start the Google Assistant. The laptop has a 2-megapixel front camera called Duo Cam, which is capable of recording Full HD video at 60 frames per second. There are two USB Type-C ports and one 3.5 mm headphone jack. There is support for fast charging technology, thanks to which 20 minutes of charge enough for two hours of battery life. The package includes a 45W Google charger. The lower part of the laptop is made of rubberized material, due to this the device does not slip out of the hands while carrying. Pixelbook Go sales will start on October 27, 2019, the base model with a Core m3 processor, 8 GB of RAM and 64 GB of flash memory will cost $649, which makes it very attractive for students and schoolchildren. MacBook Air costs twice more, for comparison. The top model on the Core i7, as well as with 16 GB of RAM and 258 GB of flash memory, will cost $1399, and its sales will begin at the end of the year.
