Premier ETF Bitcoin approuvé au Brésil
Brazil's chief financial regulator, the Securities Commission (CVM), has approved QR Asset Management's application for the first Latin American Bitcoin ETF. He received the ticker QBTC11 and will soon appear on the exchange.
It will be available to investors on the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange - B3. Its total trading volume has already broken the trillion dollar mark. The importance of the CVM decision is at least in the fact that it is only the fourth Bitcoin ETF in the world. All three of its predecessors were originally from Canada, where Bitcoin ETFs are already listed with might and main. They are: Purpose Bitcoin ETF, CI Galaxy Bitcoin ETF, and Evolve Bitcoin ETF.
While Brazil is acting, the US SEC has taken a wait-and-see attitude, while there are already 4 Bitcoin ETF approvals on its table from VanEck Associates, NYDIG, WisdomTree Investments and Valkyrie Digital Assets.
If the news background on the ETF issue remains positive, then it is likely that the SEC will begin approving the first Bitcoin ETFs in the US this year
