Les directeurs de MicroStrategy sont payés en bitcoins
MicroStrategy takes digitalization one step further. From now on, non-employee directors of the company will receive commissions in Bitcoins.
This was stated by CEO Michael Saylor in his Twitter account, attaching a document with the relevant decree. Representatives of the firm stressed that initially the directors' payments will be denominated in dollars. After that, they will be converted into the main cryptocurrency on the market and sent to the recipients' digital wallets.
The payment order for directors was changed from April 11th. According to management, this decision was another confirmation of how much the company believes in digital currencies.
The volume of Bitcoins managed by MicroStrategy today is 95,579 BTC, which is equivalent to $5.7 billion. The firm began its investment ascent to the ownership of 100,000 coins in August 2020.
Canaccord Genuity analyst Joseph Vafi is confident that the company's well-being now depends much more on its cryptocurrency investments than on software.
