Crypto Cancer Fund lancé aux États-Unis
The American Cancer Society is collecting cryptocurrency donations through a new fund launched in partnership with The Giving Block
Donations are accepted in BTC, BCH, ETH, LTC, ZEC, GUSD, BAT and LINK. Doctors plan to raise $1 million by the beginning of 2022 to fund the most important cancer research.
High hopes are pinned on the cryptosphere as in 2020. Due to the pandemic, the fund raised half as much as in 2019, and the smallest amount of donations in the past 20 years.
Members of the American Cancer Society said they hope to restore stable funding through decentralized technology as it is important to save human lives globally.
A small bonus program is provided for donors of the new crypto fund. The first person who invests $250,000 or more will be able to give a name to the new fund by adding his or her dear person. Those who donate over $10,000 will be recorded on the foundation's honor board.
By the way, Giving Block works not only with the American Cancer Society. Thanks to the platform, it was possible to establish a connection between various charitable foundations and potential donors of cryptocurrencies.
On December 18, 2020, the platform developers held a virtual event, during which they collected donations from many cryptocurrency users. Among them were several big names in the blockchain space.
In total, 175,000 dollars were collected in cryptocurrencies. The largest contribution was 5.6 BTC, which is currently equivalent to $186,000.
