L'équipe Ethereum a brûlé plus de 70 000 ETH
Following the implementation of EIP-1559, over 70,000 ETH burned on the ETH blockchain. In total, during the activation of the London hard fork earlier this month, the team implemented 5 updates.
EIP-1559 “destroys” ETH coins previously used by blockchain members to compensate transactions within it. For example, for the transfer of non-fungible tokens, or the exchange of cryptocurrency. The volume of burnt tokens currently exceeds 71,000 ETH, equivalent to nearly $232 million at the Huobi exchange rate.
After the integration of the EIP-1559 update, the ETH team did not burn their tokens, however, certain network participants, such as the Siba Inu altcoin team, got rid of the tokens, guided by personal monetary policy.
Some members of the crypto community have expressed outrage about the process of destroying coins. Indeed, rather than transferring payments for gas to ETH producers, who have formed a decentralized net of machines that “feed” the blockchain itself, commissions are simply burned.
Others fear what will happen after the development of the second cryptocurrency on the market to the new Proof-of-Stake consensus algorithm at the moment when the blockchain begins to give more preference to stakers than miners.
