Des escrocs ont attiré 100000 $ lors de l'apparition d'Elon Musk sur SNL
Elon Musk's performance on Saturday Night Live has become one of the most talked-about things in the crypto community in recent days. At least because many were waiting for a significant pump of DOGE tokens against the background of this event. The pump did not happen, but dozens of scammers luring crypt from users flooded social networks!
Taking advantage of the hype surrounding the appearance of the billionaire, scammers began to create dozens of Twitter accounts in order to lure their money from naive users. Unfortunately, as a result of the scam, many of them succeeded, and the total losses amounted to more than $100,000.
Representatives of the MalwareHunterTeam project, tracking various types of fraud on the network, said that the attackers created about 30 fake accounts of Elon Musk, his companies Tesla, SpaceX, and even fake pages of the Saturday Night Live TV show itself. Many of them also managed to get an official verification checkbox on Twitter. The latter, by the way, made the Internet community even angrier. After all, it is not entirely clear how fake Ilona Masks can still be verified in principle if incidents with luring cryptocurrencies under his name began more than 3 years ago. Some of the SNL scammers created accounts even when the news of the businessman's appearance on the air just started to flash on the Internet.
Many “lucrative” offers from scammers consisted of “giveaways” and “multipliers” of digital currencies already familiar to the crypto community. To receive the "bonus", of course, it was necessary to send a certain number of tokens to the wallets of the attackers.
MalwareHunterTeam themselves have also wondered when Twitter will finally be able to solve this problem. Users suffered the greatest losses in the fall of 2020 when scammers created hundreds of fake pages for Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and other famous media figures.
