Nvidia prédit 150 millions de dollars de ventes CMP
Nvidia predicts triple growth in revenue from the sale of CMP - a processor for mining cryptocurrencies in the first quarter of 2022. Instead of the previously announced 50 million devices, the company now intends to sell more than 150 million. According to experts, interest from miners will steadily increase.
The company said the outlook changed following positive sales in various market segments. At the same time, the graphics card manufacturer mentioned revenue for the first quarter of 2021, which already exceeded its early forecast of $5.3 billion, presented in a report published at the end of the year.
CMP was announced back in February and was positioned by Nvidia as an excellent solution for industrial Ethereum mining. Given the gradual rise in the value of ETH, reaching new all-time highs, and the smooth transition to the Ethereum 2.0 update, interest in such devices is unlikely to fall below the company's expectations.
According to Nvidia's CFO, Colette Kress, demand for their products outstrips supply and inventories remain low. But she also stressed that the company believes it will be able to support consistent growth in shipments in the next fiscal quarter.
