According to an American digital security specialist Lukas Stefanko, Play Store keeps suffering from scam applications despite the measures taken. He himself has detected and deleted 4 such apps.
It is stated in his blog post that Android’s market place became home for two types of malware: phishing apps (the ones that require the login and password of the real wallet) and fake wallets.
