Robinhood expands service to Europe
Cryptocurrency platform Robinhood is buying British firm Ziglu to expand its services to the UK. The financial side of the deal was not disclosed.
The Ziglu crypto project is based in London. This is a company that provides virtual asset trading services and is licensed by the local regulator (FCA).
The service provides 0 commission on all transactions. Users can buy digital assets by paying for the purchase with a debit card. A total of 11 cryptocurrencies are available.
The company's official blog says that the purchase of this company is another step aimed at increasing the client base and entering the European market soon. Plans for European expansion were discussed as early as 2020. Therefore, Robinhood users have been waiting for such news for a long time.
