Nasdaq: 72% of respondents are willing to invest in a spot crypto ETF

8 Acre Perspective commissioned by Nasdaq conducted a survey among financial advisers. During data processing, it turned out that 72% of respondents are interested in investing in spot ETF products.

The survey of financial advisers was conducted in March 2022. It was attended by 500 investors. Those surveyed manage over $26 trillion in assets.

According to Jake Rapaport, Nasdaq head of analytics, the vast majority of financial advisors plan to start allocating funds or increase the proportion of cryptocurrencies in their portfolio. Such an intention within the next 12 months was reported by 86% of respondents.

No one plans to reduce crypto investments. Nevertheless, the share of crypto in the total portfolio is low - only 6%. Half of the respondents are already investing in ETFs. They chose BTC futures.

Another 28% of financial advisors plan to join them in the near future. Moreover, the interests of investors look like this:

  • Index fund 69%.
  • Industry index fund 57%.
  • Actively managed fund 52%.
  • Separate crypto asset 40%.
  • High Yield Fund 31%.

Despite the high interest in ETFs, 31% of investors consider it unlikely that such products will be approved in 2022. Only 38% of respondents believe that the SEC will give permission to launch spot ETF products this year.
