Cryptocurrency trading in Russia decreased in volume by 2 times

In the Russian Federation, the volume of cryptocurrency trading has decreased. The traffic of digital assets on March 18 fell by 2 times. Transfers in rubles to Tether also decreased to $7.4 million, and previously the maximum was $38 million.

The peak of the movement of the cryptocurrency fell on March 7 and amounted to $70 million. However, by March 18, this figure had fallen by 2 times. True, Chainalysis analysts say that this indicator only shows the money transfers of Russian traders on cryptocurrency exchanges.

As for transfers in the ruble-USDT (Tether) currency pair, the exchange volume amounted to less than $5 million. At the same time, the exchange of the ruble for other cryptocurrencies takes place only on three cryptocurrency exchanges - Yobit, LocalBitcoins and Binance.

Recall that the Binance cryptocurrency exchange refused to block Russian users, despite pressure from the global community. The head of the exchange called it unethical.
