CME Group adds ADA, LINK, SOL, XRP and 7 more crypto indices
CME Group Financial Derivatives Market Launches Additional Crypto Indices. There will be 11 of them in total, including ADA, LINK, SOL, XRP. They will be added from April 25, 2022.
In addition to the above cryptocurrencies Cardano, Chainlink, Solana, CME Group will also add Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Polygon, Uniswap, Cosmos, Stellar Lumens and Algorand. Real-time crypto indices will be calculated and published daily by leading index provider CF Benchmarks.
Through the addition of new indexes, users will have access to important information that is controlled by experts and designed to create transparent, regulated pricing 24-hours a day.
Thanks to new cryptocurrencies, the list of CME Group indices will cover 90% of the cryptocurrency market capitalization. Value data will also come from several major cryptocurrency exchanges – Gemini, Kraken, Bitstamp, itBit, etc.
According to CME Group spokesman Tim Court, the latest development will meet the demand for reliable pricing information. It will be based on adjustable base rates. This will allow market participants to more effectively manage their portfolios and invest in products such as ETFs.
