On April 12th, appeared the information that Messenger Facebook might be integrated into the main app. This will give users an opportunity to work with the feed and messages in one place.
Instead of launching a separate application, users will be redirected to the Chats section page. The mechanism of interaction with the social network will be similar to the one that was previously, before the release of a special application.
At the moment the information has not been confirmed by Facebook representatives. This is evidenced by the answer received by Engadget correspondents:
“We are testing ways to improve the messaging experience for people within the Facebook app. Messenger remains a feature-rich, stand-alone messaging app with over a billion people using it monthly to connect with the people and businesses they care about most. We do not have any additional details to share at this time.”
Such rumors appeared for a reason. Since the company’s representatives recently announced plans to combine chats, including Instagram and WhatsApp into one application.
