Kraken opens whitelist for NFT platform beta testing

Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken is launching beta testing of its NFT-backed trading and lending platform.

According to the platform's blog post, trading of non-fungible tokens held on the Kraken marketplace will be commission-free. You will only need to pay gas fees when adding or withdrawing NFTs from the platform.

The developers plan to create:

  • marketplace with high-quality NFT content;
  • high level of liquidity and trading volume.

The Kraken platform also informed that content creators will receive additional rewards. Their size will depend on the activity of NFT sales in the secondary market.

Also on the exchange will be an analysis of the rarity of non-fungible tokens based on unique traits and attributes. Therefore, it will be easier to choose the most valuable tokens within one collection.

You can buy and sell NFTs with payment in fiat assets and cryptocurrency, thanks to integration with an account on the Kraken exchange. NFTs on different blockchains will be available for trading. Support for Solana and Ethereum will be added at the start, and the number of networks will be expanded in the future.

When launching the marketplace, its creators plan to pay great attention to ensuring the security of assets on the platform. This guarantees traders "peace of mind and confidence".
