FTX plans to buy stock trading platform

Cryptocurrency exchange FTX, which last week announced the launch of stock trading on the FTX Stocks platform (for the US market), plans to acquire a ready-made platform for conducting corresponding activities on a global scale.

According to experts, the exchange is currently considering three stock trading brokers for subsequent investments - Apex Clearing, Public.com and Webull Financial. Negotiations are still at an early stage. So no terms of the agreement are yet known.

The transition to shares, according to the management of the exchange, is associated with high market demand for this product. The head of FTX.US, commenting on the test launch of stock trading on FTX Stocks, noted that exchange users will have access to cryptocurrency and traditional investments from the same account.

The full-scale launch of the FTX Stocks platform is scheduled for June 2022. Recall that last week it also became known that the head of FTX acquired a 7.6% stake in Robinhood.
