Crypto exchange EXMO stops working in Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan

As part of the global development strategy, the EXMO crypto exchange leaves three countries of the post-Soviet space at once. Among them are Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan.

The exchange sells its part of the Russian and Belarusian cryptocurrency business to a company from Kazakhstan, with which it has been cooperating for about 3 years. Therefore, EXMO.com, as stated in the company's blog, will not work in this country either.

From now on, services for the above 3 countries will be provided by EXMO RBK LTD, which has launched a separate website EXMO.me. The new owner receives software, a database with a million users, intellectual and other property.

Registration of Russian, Belarusian and Kazakhstani users on EXMO.com will stop shortly. Account replenishment and currency pairs with the ruble have already been disabled since April 15. In the future, the exchange plans to expand its work to new markets.

EXMO.com will be licensed to operate in Gibraltar, will be licensed under the FCA regulations to operate in the UK, and plans to obtain an MSB license to provide services in the 40 US states.
