Bitfinex delisted MegaDogecoin

Cryptocurrency exchange Bitfinex has removed the MegaDogecoin cryptocurrency, which is the equivalent of 1 million DOGE tokens, from the list of traded assets. The main meme-coin Dogecoin remains traded without restrictions.

The exchange reminds on Twitter that you need to disable all trading pairs with this cryptocurrency.

Recall that the crypto exchange initially added MegaDogecoin in July 2020. Users could trade MDOGE coins in currency pairs with the dollar, USDT stablecoin and BTC cryptocurrency.

This approach was made due to the high popularity of DOGE and its minimal cost. To facilitate trading, an analogue of the main cryptocurrency was introduced, in which 1 million tokens were traded against other assets.

However, subsequently the price of the Dogecoin cryptocurrency increased, and at the beginning of 2021 it was added to Bitfinex in its standard form. Since then, DOGE fiat ($) and USDT trading pairs have been available.

At the moment, interest in cryptocurrency has decreased. This is evidenced by data from Google Trends.

The cryptocurrency is currently trading at $0.08. By capitalization, it is on the 10th place in the TOP of cryptocurrencies.
