As you may have heard before, the European Parliament supported the creation of a separate body the main task of which will be researching and analyzing the blockchain technology. The structure received the name the EU Blockchain Observatory and Forum.
The EU representative said that blockchain is going to be “a game changer” for Europe, and European states should be among the first to excel this technology. She also said that the EU Blockchain Observatory and Forum will be “an important step in that direction.”
The newly created branch is already taking action. For example, its representatives made a post on Twitter, which said that they are organizing an online Q&A event which will be held on the 18th of June and last for 1.5 hours.

Any person interesting in blockchain or any other topic related to blockchain will be able to ask questions and address concerns that they might have.
The European Union believes that such an act will raise awareness about blockchain among the public and also educate people, since this innovative technology is quickly taking over the world and could be useful for pretty much everyone.
We would like to remind you that the European Union has recently released a set of new regulations for the cryptocurrency market in order to eliminate money laundering and theft.
