Ethereum Developer Suspected in Cooperation with North Korea to Remain in Jail
Ethereum Foundation developer Virgil Griffith will remain in custody as the New York District Court rejected his lawyer's bail. Griffith allegedly announced in Tweeter his intention to renounce the USA citizenship and organize a money-laundering scheme in North Korea. Based on official information from the Federal Bureau of Prisons, at the time of publication of the report, the defendant was in custody. As of this writing, Griffith’s lawyer has not commented on the situation. Recall, Virgil Griffith is accused of cooperating with the DPRK. The prosecutor's office claims he provided the Pyongyang government with information that helped circumvent US sanctions.
